 Advantages of Membership and Regional Club Affiliation

Mustangs are the common denominator throughout the organization; however the predominant theme is Family Membership and Family Participation.  This applies to the young, to the old and to all walks of life.

INDIVIDUAL BENEFITS

1.             Each year MCS members receive 12 issues of the Mustang Times and Mustang Club of America windshield decal.

2.             Mustang Times has been increasing in volume by several pages and is considered to be a publication of foremost quality and content.

3.             Members have access to free classified advertisements in Mustang Times.

4.             Judging manuals are updated every two years and are available at a nominal price to those interested in judging, showing, and/or restoring Mustangs.

5.             Access to Gold Card Judges for restoration information.

6.             Entry fees at all National Shows are discounted $10.00 for MCA Members.

7.             Members may submit entries to the Mustang Times for consideration of their car for the cover page or to feature in the Snapshot section.

8.             MCA has an excellent web site (www.mustang.org) containing in depth information about the National Club, Regional Clubs, and upcoming events.

9.             MCA contributes to exert a positive influence on the Mustang automobile, its popularity and retaining the value and collectibility of all years and models.

10.           Regional Clubs are located throughout the United States and several are overseas.

11.           Members may participate to the extent desired in the MCA electoral process.

12.           Most Mustang Club of America members unanimously agree that one of the most important aspects of membership is that MCA provides the forum for formulating and expanding enduring friendships.

REGIONAL GROUPS HOSTING LOCAL SHOWS

1.             Show insurance for regional shows and displays.

2.             100 dashcards

3.             100 plastic goody bags with MCA logo

5.             Free ads in Mustang Times Event Calendar..

6.             Free Show listing on MCA web site.

7.             Mustang Times magazines for free distribution.

8.             MCA membership applications for free distribution.

9.             Additional advertising can be purchased in Mustang Times.  Half price rates are available to Regional Groups.  A full page at half price rate is $175.00.  Half page at half price rate is $92.50.  Advertising deadline is 45 days prior to cover date of magazine.

10.           Each Regional Club has an assigned personal contract on the National Board of Directors.

11.           Regional Clubs are encouraged to submit news of all activities to Mustang Times.

12.           The Ford Mustang Club Center, PO Box 2909, Farmington Hills, MI 48331, Phone (800) 576-7669, Fax (810) can provide additional help.  All requests for sponsorship, goody bag stuffers, etc. must be channeled through the Mustang Club Center.

REGIONAL CLUBS HOSTING NATIONAL SHOWS

1.             Show insurance for National Shows.

2.             300 dashcards

4.             300 ballots for LMA - Current Year Class.

5.             $75.00 trophy sponsorship.

6.             $250.00 toward dash plaque purchase.

7.             Mustang Times magazines for free distribution.

8.             MCA membership applications for free distribution.

9.             Free ad in Mustang Times Event Calendar

10.           Free show listing on MCA Web Site.

11.           MCA membership applications for free distribution.

12.           Mustang Times full page advertisements.

A.            Grand National Shows receive three free full page ads and three full page ads at $25.00 each.

B.            National Shows receive two free full page ads and two full page ads at $25 each.

13.           Additional advertising can be purchased in Mustang Times.  Half price rates are available to Regional Groups.  A full page ad at half price is $175.00.  Half page ad at half price rate is $92.50.  Advertising deadline is 45 days prior to cover date of magazine.

14.           MCA provides all Judging and Technical Inspection sheets.

15.           MCA sends the National Head Judge or his designated representative to the show.  The National Head Judge holds the judges meeting, assigns judged to classes and overseas judging.

16.           MCA coordinates tabulation and scoring of judging sheets and provides the official winners list.

In conclusion, this is not intended as a comprehensive listing, but only to point out that membership benefits justify, and most will agree, exceed the nominal yearly membership fee.
