Had an opportunity to have some repairs done with a (new to me) restoration shop in Green Cove Springs. Snapped a Clutch Rod Equalizer Bar recently, so decided to give Terry Strickland some business. I had visited with him earlier, and thumbed through pictures of all the cars he has restored. Very nice work.
Picked my car up today and he happened to have a Roush P51 Mustang (only 51 made, this was #10) that the owner wanted some paint work done on the hood. Beautiful car, and if the owner was willing to trust Terry with this project, well it was a good endorsement for me.
Strickland's is one of those businesses that unless you know where he is, your never going to find him. He advertises by word of mouth only as far as I know. Shop is at: 1524-1 Virgils Way, Green Cove Springs, FL. 32043 (904-728-4869). From 295, heading South on Hwy 17 you will go through Orange Park and Fleming Island. Further South on Hwy 17, and South of Garber Auto mall is a subdivision (on your right) called Magnolia Point (Standard Gas Station at the corner). Turn Right (West) and just over the Railroad tracks, then turn Right again at the Green Cove Springs Industrial Park. Virgils Way is the 1st Left Turn, just ahead of the shredding store.
Just sharing another shop for those of you seeking out a possible restoration shop. He has a wide variety of classic cars on-going at this time, and he is always glad to show visitors his work.
